Title:
Licking the Wounds
Description:
On a sunny Friday morning Train #6611 arrives at Dover Station while mechanical forces address some mild damage to the 4110 from an incident the night before. About 12 hours earlier the 4110 was returning home to Dover on YD-43 with a handful of equipment from the MMC when they hit a stalled car carrier truck stranded over Station Road crossing at Mount Tabor station. Thankfully no serious injuries came of the incident to both crew and the public. The following morning as the rush neared its end the engine was spotted at the east end of S-6 in Dover Yard to place it close to the yards machine shop. Mechanical forces spent the better part of the morning welding the rear pilot of the 52-year old ex-CNJ veteran to make her roadworthy again.
