Shown here is Penn Central engine #8053, a DRS 4-4-1000 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as Pennsylvania Railroad number "5593" in March of 1950, rated at 1,000 horsepower, and renumbered "8053" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger.
