Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken near Ivy City in the District of Columbia, c. 1960. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4860 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electrics rated at 4,620 horsepower each. #4860 was constructed in Juniata during December of 1937. ("LouisFols"; #3 of 6) |
