Description:
Originally built as CM&StP #8637 by Alco-Brooks in October of 1918, it was renumbered in 1938 to MILW 343 as seen here in Nahant, IA. The loco was retired in March of 1953 after nearly 35 years of service.. Specs - L3 class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine wt of 320,000 lb and tractive effort of 62,949 lb. This is a Guhr photo.
