Built by Alco-Schenectady in February of 1910 originally as Rutland 4-6-0 #2038, the loco was renumbered RUT #38 in 1914. About 1920 it was superheated and renumbered again to RUT #72 (class F-2K)). The loco was finally retired in October of 1951. Final specs - serial #47310, class F-2h(k), 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 22.5x26" cylinders, engine weight of 204,600 lb, tractive effort of 32,429 lb.
