Here is page two of a two-page camera study by Bert Pennypacker entitled "Metamorphosis Of The T-1." It was published originally in the July 1951 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 29. Top Photo: Shown here at the Horseshoe Curve is #6111, a T-1 built by Baldwin during May of 1942 and retired in December of 1953. Second Photo Down: Shown here at St. Louis is #5518, a T-1 built in Juniata during March of 1946 and retired in December of 1953. Third Photo Down: Shown here at Harrisburg is #5529, a T-1 built by Baldwin during November of 1945 and retired in December of 1953. Bottom Photo: Shown here at Pittsburgh is #5547, a T-1A built by Baldwin during August of 1946 and retired in January of 1956.

"Duplex-Drives," Page 21, 1959
Description:
Here is page six of a ten-page cover article by David P. Morgan entitled "Duplex-Drives." It was published originally in the November 1959 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 21. Top Photo, Amended Caption: "Pioneer T-1 6110 startled railroad world of [1942] with her unique shark, or yacht, nose from the pen of the inimitable Raymond Loewy." PRR engine #6110 is a T-1 built by Baldwin during April of 1942 and retired in December of 1953. Middle Photo, Partial Caption: "Modified 5547 received Walschaerts valve gear and new cylinders." PRR engine #5547 is a T-1A built by Baldwin during August of 1946 and retired in January of 1956. Bottom Photo Caption: "Another modified T-1, the 5500 with rotary continuous contour cams, is a mile out of Cincinnati Union Terminal and making time with the eastbound 'Cincinnati Limited.'" PRR engine #5500 is a T-1 built in Juniata during November of 1945 and retired in December of 1953.
