Description:  Built by Alco-Schenectady in August of 1939, This sharp but massive 4-8-4 Northern type steam locomoitve served well in the Great Plains. After serving nearly 23 years, the loco was retired in January of 1962 and placed in storage. Eventually, in Octoberr of 1972, it was donated to the City of Salt Lake, Utah, for exhibitionat Pioneer Park No date was listed for this photo taken by an unknown photographer.
