Viewing Album:  Then and Now: Morrisville yard 1978 vs. 2014 and 2016

Album Info:My return to Morrisville yard after last photographing Conrail operations in 1980 showed many changes to the former PRR yard. The hump yard, tower, and parking area were gone. The parking area by the hump tower was a great place to park and watch the operations. The Morrisville shops and surrounding areas were transferred to NJ Transit, with a large complex built including a coach yard and yard tower. West of the coach yard, Conrail's Morrisville yard office and parking area is located adjacent to a small engine terminal. Note: Each image's photo date was added within each Description field. In order to present an organized historical comparison within the album, all Photo Date fields were listed 8/25/14 to show the date for the most recent images in the album. A few overview images from Memorial Day weekend, 2016 were added to show the changes to catenary and engine staging areas from 1978 to current use by NS.
