Title:
PLE 1572 - Pittsburgh & Lake Erie
Description:
This switcher was built by EMD and delivered January of 1971 as #9281 but renumbered later. Eventually sold to US Steel - Edgar Thompson Works as #ET-3. Some confusion on this site as its origins - this site has it originally built by EMD as a GP38AC for the DTI. Not sure where that info came from. Date and location are approximations for this photo - no photogrpaher listed.

Title:
PLE 2801 - Pittsburgh & Lake Erie
Description:
Built by GE in February of 1966, this U28B is caught resting in an unknown yard. Only note I could find on it was that it was scrapped and with Alan Fricker's help (see comment below), it was retired in 1989 and sold for scrap to Naporano.Iron & Metal Works in Newark, NJ. The date and location are approximations and no photographer was listed.
